Start Making the World
a Better Place

Do you want to make the world a better place? Do you have an interest in science, genetics, or medicine? Have you ever thought of becoming a doctor, microbiologist, or health researcher? Now, any student in R.I. can start learning about biomedical science at Scituate High School.

SHS’s RIDE-approved Biomedical Science Academy can be the perfect start for you, and will even have you tackling the same real-world challenges biomedical professionals face every day, before you even graduate from high school.

Working with the same technology and tools professionals use in hospitals and labs, you’ll be engaged in compelling, hands-on activities and work together with classmates to find solutions to biomedical problems. In these classes, you’ll explore various diseases (and their prevention, diagnosis, and treatment), while collaborating on solutions to the most pressing real-world health challenges. You’ll also earn your OSHA 10 General Industry Certification and other professional credentials.
